Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry was recently quoted in Rolling Stone magazine as saying, “I don’t even know if making new albums makes sense anymore.” Considering the recorded output in the second half of their storied career, this is either good new or bad news for fans of the band, depending on which era you prefer. What he does promise, however, is staying on the road. And as proof of that, Boston’s favorite sons bring their Let Rock Rule tour to Tinley Park and the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre this Friday (7/25).
Former Gun’s and Roses guitarist Slash opens the show and, rumor has it, may even join the band at some point during their set.
Expect lots of hits, scarfs, circular fan blown hair and maybe even an unexpected guitar duel. Which probably means nothing from 2012’s Music From Another Dimension! which dropped like a fumbled copy of the Yellow Pages.
